The emergence of the electricity in the west of the country was started by erecting and importing a 30 Kw generator machine in one of kermanshah places named chahar Bag in the north of Cathedral Mosque. It was founded by the help of Haroon Gasri in Kermanshah & in 1318.
This Power Plant has been made in a Place located in north of the city of that time, and it was near the business and residential centers it could cover the market and the main streets of the city by making low voltage network. The interesting point is that owner of the company made the luminescent of the passages network and erected lamp in front of the rich people of the city. For encouraging them to ask for electric branching. But after a short time that the electricity introduced its benefits and its sale market propertied. The rich of the city decided to establish the Luminosity Company and they made power plant in the center of the city which started electric production by a 90 Kw generator.
At that time, kermanshah had two electric companies that had caused some difficulties and finally the luminosity of stock company came to agreement with Haroon Gasri and the Haroon power plant was closed, the luminosity stock company started distributing & producing the electricity.
Two MAN generators with the power of 375 H.P were installed in a new place in south of the city named fork Rafatieh in 1322. One Eshcooda generator with the power of 260 H.P. was installed in 1327, and the two other Eshcooda generators each of them with the power of 715 H.P. and two MAN generators were installed of them with the power of 1820 H.P. in 1331 reach to a charge peak equal with 3.5 megawatt at the same place in 1343 & two other generators were installed in 1344 that no charge was taken from it and it was at the same time that some whispering about founding the ministry of electric and water was heard. This ministry acted to deliver the managing of luminosity stock company and at the same time a new power plant was made in the neighborhood of the Chale chale village that is now the central office of the west regional electric company in which there was three Reston generators each of them with the power of the 2000 KW. Rafatie’s power plant generator changed to a 800 KW Merlis and a 450 KW generator plant. The electric Trans network came to the west of the country & at this time charge peak was about 5 megawatt.

The interesting matter which can be said here is the condition of the electric distribution in the city, that after making and revealing difficulties of falling voltage the company acted to make six changeable transformations post with the voltage 6.3 kilovolt in different parts of the city that these six posts were connected to each other by the underground cable by operation of the three 230.63 K.V. posts, sahne, Siloo, and Mahidasht. Some significant changes occurred in the electric conditions were when the 230.63 Kilovolt post in kangavar’s Aran with the capacity of 40 megawatt was used to provide electricity of kermanshah and hamedan.
The region was ready to connect to Trans network with charge peak about 9 megawatt & 27549 subscribers, and charge peak came to 52 megawatt & 82832 subscriber in 1354. By victory of Islamic magnificent revolution, particularly by connecting village to the electric tarns network, the other changes occurred in the electricity process. Now the west regional company has under covariance the three provinces, kermanshah, kordestan & Ilam that the whole number of subscribers has been in these three provinces over of 803127 subscriber with 763 megawatt non-synchronizing charge peak until end of 1381
